As Europe prepares for an anticipated supply ramp-up in the mid-to-late 2020s, FSRUs are emerging as a strategic response to capture short-term and mid-term benefits. Germany has moved quickly to secure FID and begin construction for its new regasification capacity, most of which is from FSRUs, while other markets have felt less pressure to pursue further investment. With construction commencing on an increasing number of projects, we forecast that Europe will have added between 56.3 bcm/yr (41.3 mmtpa) and 66.0 bcm/yr (48.4 mmtpa) of new regas capacity before 2027. The attached slides provide the latest details on European regas proposals. They will be updated on an ongoing basis as new information becomes available
