The block G1/61 (Erawan), covering 4,378 km2, is located in the Gulf of Thailand. The G1/61 PSC, officially signed in 2019, was the first PSC awarded in Thailand. These fields were held under Contract Areas 1, 2, and 3 (now expired) and have been the primary suppliers of domestic gas to Thailand.Chevron operated the Contract Areas 1, 2 and 3 under a concession contract that expired in April 2022.
