Canadian carbon capture credentials
Report summary
Canada is a leading region in CCUS. Although Canada accounts for only 1.9% of the global CO2e emissions, the country currently holds 14% of the global operating CCUS capacity, and a long pipeline of publicly announced future projects that would see capacity increase significantly by the end of this decade. The learnings from these early stage, innovative, made-in-Canada projects have been adopted globally as industry looks to accelerate CCUS projects worldwide.
